Testing & Inspection

 

Due to changes in legislation within the building industry, insurance companies and the buy to let market there is a requirement for testing and inspecting of installations on a more regular basis.

 

 

A rental domestic property should be inspected every year or at a change of tenancy, this ensures correct operation of the electrical system between tenants and makes certain no changes have been made without your knowledge. This falls under duty of care to your tenant.

 

It becomes more complicated for the time periods for commercial, industrial or horticultural because of the type of work and amount of employees that work within your industry.

We also carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) which is required annually.

 

 

We have the ability to carry periodic testing and inspection of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting systems to BS5839 and BS5266 respectively.

We carry out routine contract maintenance for fire alarm and emergency lighting on a one month or quarter year basis in conjunction with its annual inspection.

Portable Appliance Testing ensures the electrical equipment is in good working order. The tests will find any dangerous equipment, which if continued to be used may present a hazard to the person using the equipment.

Each Item will have a unique identification number for tractability and its own pass sticker, Also a certificate will be issued for each item of equipment which has passed the tests.

All work comes with an Installation certificate and Part P Building regulations compliance.
